IDA Design Awards Winner

180526 IDA Design Award 2018 HK Architects Lay Low.png

This past March, I had a very last minute photo shoot scheduled to photograph an AirBnB property for a local architecture firm. They had just sold it to a couple who were planning to convert it to their home, and the firm was planning to submit their project into an international design competition. In a very short amount of time, the architects arranged to have the property staged by Smart Furniture and asked me to photograph it.

Last week, we learned that the firm, Hefferlin & Kronenberg won the Gold Award for their project, called The Lay Low. Formerly a men’s gambling club (Lay Low Lounge) that closed, HK Architects purchased the property with a vision to revitalize the area. The 3-bedroom, 2-bath residence features a large living, dining and cooking area, and a vast covered porch.

Congratulations, HK Architects! I'm thrilled to have been a part of this exciting international award!
